BERLIN, Md. — The Holy Cross men's golf team competed at the Battle at Rum Pointe on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27 at the Rum Pointe Golf Course. The Crusaders placed 18th out of 22 teams competing, totaling a score of 621 (+45) over two rounds.
Junior Christian Emmerich had a strong showing for Holy Cross, placing in a tie for 14th with a score of 147 (74-73, +3) over the two rounds. Freshman Owen Egan finished in a tie for 54th, with a score of 153 (+9).
COACH'S CORNER:
"Christian Emmerich and Owen Egan continue to play with confidence, and will play a vital role for the remainder of the season," said Holy Cross men's golf head coach Steve Napoli. "I'm very pleased with the performance of freshman Grant Passi in only his third start of the year. We've intentionally juggled our lineup this spring, and our best golf of the year will be played in our remaining tournaments this spring."
