Bibaud to retire from role as women’s golf head coach

Holy Cross women's golf head coach Tim Bibaud will retire from his position at the conclusion of the Spring 2022 season, he announced on Tuesday, March 22.

Bibaud, who also serves as First Justice of the Westborough District Court, will be taking on added responsibilities within his role.

"It was a privilege to be able to come back to my alma mater and have the opportunity to coach some exceptional student-athletes," Bibaud said. "I am very proud of the continued development that the program has undergone, and even prouder of the student-athletes that I have had the pleasure of working with."

"We are grateful for Tim's leadership and guidance with the women's golf program and his alma mater as a whole," said Holy Cross Director of Athletics Kit Hughes. "We are proud of his recent appointment and know he will continue to make a profound impact on our local community. I hope all Crusaders will join me in wishing Tim continued success in this exciting new endeavor."

Bibaud spent the last seven seasons leading the Holy Cross program, with his student-athletes earning 34 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections. Under his guidance, Jackie Gonzalez earned Patriot League Co-Rookie of the Year honors in 2016-17, and finished her career ranked first all-time at Holy Cross in career scoring average.

A 1981 graduate of Holy Cross, Bibaud was a four-year member of the golf team for the Crusaders, serving as team captain during his junior and senior seasons.

A national search for the new Holy Cross women's golf head coach will begin immediately.
