WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross softball program travels down route 146 to Providence to take on Brown in a doubleheader tomorrow at 3:00 and 5:30 p.m. The game will stream through ESPN+.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (5-14, 0-0 PL):

• The Crusaders look to break a four game losing streak after falling to Saint Peter's 8-5 Sunday afternoon in their final contest of the Rutgers tournament. Sophomore Jessica Mott was 2-for-4 with her second home run of the year and an RBI while classmate Megan Yurchick bashed a two run shot in the top of the first.
• Mott had a productive four game series for Holy Cross. She appeared in all four games for the Crusaders this past week and turned in a .333/.429/.583 triple slash line with a 1.012 OPS. She hit a home run, drove in a run, scored once, and had two walks.
• As a team, Holy Cross is tied for first in the Patriot League in shutouts (2), second in earned run average (3.92), second in batting average against (.282), and third in strikeouts (104).

SCOUTING THE BEARS (4-12, 0-3 IVY):

• Brown has lost six straight contests including 7-0 shutout by Princeton their last time out on Sunday. Moe Kastens mustered the only hit for Brown in the defeat, a double in the top of the fourth.
• Alexis Guevara is the leading hitter for the Bears with a .286 batting average while getting on base at a .359 clip.
• Brown has the best ERA in the Ivy League at 2.89 across 113.2 innings pitched. Their .264 opponents' batting average is second in the league.

LAST TIME THEY MET:

• Brown is 1-4 against the Crusaders over their last five games.
• In their last meeting, Holy Cross was victorious 8-5 on April 14, 2021, in Worcester. Then-junior Erin Bengston had a big game going 2-for-2 with a double, three RBI, and a walk, while then-freshman Jessica Mott went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and a stolen base.
