Women’s indoor track and field brings home third place at NEICAAA Championship

BOSTON – The Holy Cross women's indoor track and field program competed in the two day New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championship Friday and Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center. The Crusaders finished in third place out of 21 programs.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

For the third straight week, senior Jordyn Shubrick re-set the school record in the weight throw event Friday placing second at 17.45 meters.
Junior Annie Lineberger brought home first place in the pole vault Friday with a 3.80-meter showing.
On Friday, junior Eve Feuerbach came in second in the five-kilometer jaunt at 17:47.03. In the three kilometer event on Saturday, she placed third (9:59.04).
Newcomer Molly O'Connor won the 200-meter dash with an indoor personal mark of 25.35 and finished second in the 60-meter with a career-best 7.83 time.
Junior Kate Ashley finished second in the 400-meter event setting a new personal mark at 57.25.
Senior Grace Hoelscher came in second place in the 800-meter with a season-best 2:15.43 time.
Obiamaka Igwenagu placed third in the triple jump (11.84 meters).
Senior Ashley Thomas established a new personal record with fifth place in the 500 (1:18.47).
Freshman Ella Grey came in sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.06), and eighth in the 60-meter run (8.01).
Upperclassman Kelsey O'Hara crossed the finish line seventh in the 1000-meter (3:01.15).
Haley Murphy was eighth in the 500 (1:20.28).
The 4x800 squad of junior Carly Robinson, senior Sophia Maynard, senior Emily Foley, and senior Gabby Harmon recorded a season best showing in third place (9:31.64).
The 4x400 quad team consisting of Ashley, Thomas, sophomore Kiley Ronan and Murphy finished fourth (3:59.26).
