The Holy Cross men's basketball team hits the road this weekend, traveling to Northeastern for a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday, Dec. 10. The contest between the Crusaders and the Huskies will be shown live by the New England Sports Network and FloHoops.
Holy Cross will be playing just its third true road game of the season and its fifth contest away from the Hart Center. The Crusaders stand 3-7 overall on the year, and are coming off a narrow 75-71 loss to Quinnipiac on Wednesday. Senior forward
Gerrale Gates has led the team by averaging 17.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 blocked shots and 1.0 steals per game, in addition to connecting on 51.2 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard
Bo Montgomery has added 12.9 points, 3.9 boards and 2.9 assists per contest, while freshman guard
Will Batchelder is putting up 9.7 points and 2.8 assists per game.
Northeastern enters the game with an overall mark of 2-6 on the year. The Huskies are coming off a 66-46 victory over Georgia State on Sunday, which snapped a two-game losing streak. Junior forward Jahmyl Telfort leads the team by averaging 15.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals per contest, while hitting 76.7 percent of his foul shots. Junior forward Joe Pridgen has put up 8.2 points and 3.5 boards per game, and junior forward Coleman Stucke has added 7.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest.
Following the game with the Huskies, Holy Cross will take a week off for final exams before returning to action at New Hampshire on Monday, Dec. 19, at 7:00 p.m.
