The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back on the court this Thursday, Dec. 22, when it travels to Sacred Heart for an 11:30 a.m. game. The contest between the Crusaders and the Pioneers will be shown live by NEC Front Row.

Holy Cross will be playing its fifth true road game of the season and its seventh contest away from the Hart Center. The Crusaders stand 3-9 overall on the year, and are coming off a 78-60 setback at New Hampshire on Monday night. Senior forward Gerrale Gates has led the team by averaging 17.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocked shots per game, in addition to connecting on 49.4 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard Bo Montgomery has added 11.5 points, 3.7 boards and 2.5 assists per contest, while junior guard Joe Octave is putting up 9.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

Sacred Heart stands 5-8 overall this season and is currently on a five-game losing streak. In their last game, the Pioneers were defeated by St. Joseph's 77-59 on Monday night. Junior forward Nico Galette leads the team by averaging 15.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.3 blocked shots per contest, while hitting 41.2 percent of his field goal attempts. Senior guard Raheem Solomon (13.2 points per game), junior guard Aidan Carpenter (11.3 points per game) and senior guard Joey Reilly (10.5 points per game) are also scoring in double figures this year.

Following the game with the Pioneers, Holy Cross will have a week off for Christmas before returning to the court on Friday, Dec. 30, when it plays host to Bucknell in its Patriot League opener at 2:00 p.m.
