Men’s track and field wraps day one at New England Outdoor Championship

NEW BRITAIN, Conn.— The Holy Cross men's track and field team completed day one of competition at the New England Outdoor Championship on Friday, May 14 at Veterans Stadium.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Senior Gabe Piepergerdes qualified for the 400 meter hurdle finals with the second-fastest qualifying time of 53.55.
  • Freshman Will McAlpine placed 17th in the javelin with a mark of 54.71 meters.
  • Junior TJ Duggan posted a new personal best in the pole vault with a mark of 4.56 meters, finishing in sixth-place overall.
UP NEXT:
  • The Crusaders will wrap up competition at the New England Outdoor Championship on Saturday, May 15, with the meet slated to begin at 10:00 a.m.
