Women’s track and field downs Stonehill in dual meet

EASTON, Mass.— The Holy Cross women's track and field team defeated Stonehill College, 126-36, on Sunday, April 18. The Crusaders won 14 out of 19 total events on the day.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

Cymeria Robshaw won two events on the day, taking home first-place finishes in the 100 meters (12.96) and long jump (5.25m).
Ashley Thomas posted a first-place finish in the 200 meters, running a time of 27.03.
Marina MacKinnon won the 400 meters in a time of 59.35.
Sam Carroll ran her way to a first-place victory in the 1500 meters, in a time of 4:55.35.
Claire Hanlon set a new personal best, winning the 5000 meters in a time of 17:43.10.
Mimi Liebers tied a personal best after posting a 1:05.03 in the 400 meter hurdles, in a first-place finish.
Sydney McDonald won the high jump event, posting a mark of 1.62m.
Annie Lineberger finished in first in the pole vault, jumping a mark of 3.65m.
Obiamaka Igwenagu won the triple jump event, jumping 11.07m.
Jordyn Shubrick won both the shot put (12.05m) and hammer throw (51.12m). Shubricks's 51.12m throw in the hammer was a personal best.
Peighton Stirt posted a personal best in her first-place finish in the javelin, posting a mark of 34.03m.

The Crusaders will next compete at the Patriot League Outdoor Championship, beginning on Friday, April 30 in West Point, N.Y.
