WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by both Army (7-0) and Lafayette (6-1) in Patriot League action at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 0-4 overall this season, while the Black Knights now stand 6-2 and the Leopards are 2-2.
Against Lafayette, sophomore
Hanna Beck picked up the first singles win of her collegiate career. Playing at No. 6 singles, Beck took down the Leopards' Emma Menkowitz 6-3, 6-1. The No. 1 singles match against Lafayette was also very competitive, with Samantha Snyder edging out junior
Maddie DeNucci 2-6, 6-1, (10-3).
Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, April 11, when it plays host to Providence at 12:00 p.m.
