Forward Scott Pooley, a 2018 graduate of Holy Cross and four-year member of the men's ice hockey team, has signed a one-year contract with the Toronto Marlies, the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the
organization announced on Friday, April 17.
Pooley appeared in 30 games with the Marlies during the 2019-20 season, recording 12 points (eight goals, four assists). He split the season between the Marlies and the Newfoundland Growlers (ECHL), notching 22 points (16 goals, six assists) through 17 games with the Growlers. He additionally won the Kelly Cup with the Growlers in 2018-19, leading the team in regular-season goals (31).
During his Holy Cross career, Pooley recorded 98 points off of 51 goals and 47 assists. He was a four-time selection to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team, and earned the New England Hockey Writers' Paul Hines Award, presented to the most improved player in New England, during his senior year.
