WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team completed the weekend sweep of Air Force with a 2-1 victory. The Crusaders victory marks the program's first-ever sweep of the Falcons.

Conner Jean tallied the game-winner on the power play.
The Crusaders and Falcons skated through the first period scoreless and were at an even 9-9 shot count. Both teams had a crack at a power play opportunity but did not convert.

Both teams broke through in the second period. Holy Cross opened the scoring when
Kevin Darrar extended his goal streak to five games with a wrist shot on a two-on-one. Less than three minutes later, the Falcons struck on a power play. The Crusaders took the lead, 2-1, before the final intermission as
Conner Jean picked up his fourth power play goal of the season.
Holy Cross' defense held strong in the third period as Air Force benefitted from a power play with 2:48 to play. As the Falcons pulled the goalie to skate with a six-on-four advantage, the Crusaders kept them off the board and secured the 2-1 victory.

Matt Slick blocked a pass to start the Crusaders breakout and fed
Alex Peterson at the defensive blue line. Peterson moved the puck ahead to
Kevin Darrar in the neutral zone to create a two-on-one. Darrar looked off the pass and wristed the shot over Air Force's Alex Schilling's glove.

Pete Kessel rushed into the zone and moved the puck across the zone to
Neil Robinson, who escaped and dropped a behind-the-back pass to
Conner Jean in the slot. Jean sent the puck just under the crossbar.
