WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team picked up its fourth win in its last six games with a 3-1 victory Air Force.
Matt Radomsky turned aside 16 shots and
Frank Boie had a career night with two goals.
The Crusaders opened the first period with a 23-4 shot advantage. Nearing the midway point,
Frank Boie scored his first of the season to give Holy Cross the 1-0 lead.
The second period saw a more even shot differential as the Crusaders held a 7-6 advantage. After two periods,
Matt Radomsky recorded 10 saves.
The third period started with a goal from the Falcons to even the game, 1-1. The Crusaders responded as Boie tallied his second of the night less than five minutes later. Holy Cross sustained pressure through the remainder of the period and held off the Falcons from evening the score.
The Crusaders killed off their 16
th consecutive penalty with 2:18 to play in regulation and held off a six-on-four advantage for the Falcons.
With one second remaining, the
Kevin Darrar cashed in on an empty net to secure the win, 3-1.

Jake Pappalardo, who moved into the slot and passed back to
Frank Boie at the point. Boie quickly released on the puck to score with a shot to the top right corner of the net.

Ryan Leibold won the puck back to
Pete Kessel, who fed Boie at the point. From the wall, Boie walked into a slapshot to the top left corner of the net.

Jack Surowiec shot the length of the ice and just missed the open net and
Kevin Darrar hustled to negate the icing and tap in the puck as it sat next to the post.
