WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's tennis team lost to Army, 5-0, Friday in West Point, N.Y.

How it happened:

• The Black Knights claimed victories at No. 1, 3, 4, and 6 singles as well as all three doubles to take the team victory.
• Maddie DeNucci won the first set in her No. 2 singles match, 6-2, but did not finish as the outcome of the team competition had already been decided.
• Jennifer Kary was also battling hard at No. 5 singles, trailing 2-6, 3-4, but also did not end up finishing.

The Crusaders will take on Loyola and Lafayette in West Point before returning to Worcester.
