ANNAPOLIS, Maryland — The Holy Cross men's track and field team competed on the first day of the Patriot League Indoor Championship on Saturday, February 16.
Sophomore Michael Pichay placed fifth in the finals of the long jump, with a top mark on the day of 6.99 meters.
Senior Brandon Thornhill qualified for the finals of the 60 meter hurdles, posting a season-best time of 8.29 seconds.
Freshman Will Hornyak, freshman Corey Kumamoto, sophomore Peter Mitchell and sophomore Hayden Ivatts combined to run an IC4A-qualifying time of 7:50.30 in the 4x800 meter relay and finish sixth.
With four events completed in the heptathlon, senior Alexander Escada sits in fifth place with 2,556 points.
The Patriot League Indoor Championship will conclude on Sunday, February 17. The meet can be broadcast live on the Patriot League Network beginning at 11:45 a.m.
