Final Results
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior Jenna Gasparrini finished in second place overall with a time of 21:50.9 on the six-kilometer course, as the Holy Cross women's cross country team placed seventh at the Patriot League Championship. Gasparrini had the best individual finish by a Crusader at the Patriot League Championship since the 2009 season, when Paige Sutherland came in second. In addition, Gasparrini's second-place finish earned her first team All-Patriot League honors.
Holy Cross finished with a total of 209 points as a team, as Bucknell captured the team championship with 33 points. Colleen Buckley of Bucknell won the individual title with a time of 21:41.5.
Junior Allison McArdle earned a 42nd-place finish with a time of 23:16.7, while freshman Michaela Halloran came in 66th in a time of 23:46.0. Freshman Emily Foley finished in 74th place (24:01.5), and sophomore Elizabeth Graves was 80th (24:12.9).
Boston University finished in fourth place as a team, to defeat the Crusaders in the Turnpike Trophy competition.
Holy Cross returns to action on Friday, Nov. 9, when it takes part in the NCAA Northeast Regional in Amherst, N.Y.
