WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Siena Brunetti of the Holy Cross women's cross country team has been named to the Cross Country Academic All-League Team, as announced by the Patriot League on Wednesday.
Brunetti, an accounting major, earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.960, concluding the spring of her sophomore year. She competed in five of the six meets this season and was Holy Cross's top finisher in every race she competed in. Her season PR in the 3k was 11:03.35 (second), her season PR in the 5k was 17:44.80 (ninth) and her season PR in the 6k was 21:05.8 (seventh, at Patriot Leagues). She finished in the top 12 in every race this year. Siena was Holy Cross's top point scorer at the 2025 Patriot League Championship, crossing the finish at 21:05.8 (seventh, seven pts.). She was named First Team All-Patriot League for her performance and is the first Crusader to earn a spot on an All-League team since 2022 (Eve Feuerbach, First Team).
Off the course, Brunetti has volunteered her time at the Girls On The Run 5k in Worcester. She is a member of Holy Cross MOCA WOCA and the Holy Cross Accounting Club. The junior is currently pursuing the Business Certificate Program at Holy Cross and worked as a Summer Audit Intern at Deloitte in San Jose, Calif.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player within their sport. Freshmen or student-athletes in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
Holy Cross cross country returns to action on Friday, Nov. 14, when it takes part in the NCAA Northeast Regional held at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds in Hopkinton, N.H.
