WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross men's soccer sophomore midfielder Max Krause nabbed Patriot League Midfielder of the Week for his performance in the Crusaders 1-0-1 week from Sept. 24-30.
Krause tallied his first two goals of the 2018 season on Sept. 25 at No. 16 UMass-Lowell as Holy Cross stunned the Riverhawks, 2-1. In the 67th minute Krause capitalized on a penalty kick as Lowell was called for a handball in the box. In the 86th minute Krause struck again when he took a free kick from 25 yards out that deflected in.
This is the first weekly honor for Krause. It is the third-consecutive weekly honor for Holy Cross as Bobby Barsic was crowned Midfielder of the Week (Sept. 29) and Simon Becher was named Rookie of the Week (Sept. 22).
The Crusaders resume play when they host the Terriers on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7:05 p.m. in Worcester.
