The Lead: The Holy Cross men's swimming & diving team defeated Springfield, 157 to 132 with junior Steve Tierney placing first in two events.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM SPRINGFIELD:
- Tierney placed first in the 50 free with a time of 22.18. He also placed first in the 500 free (4:54.03).
- In the 400 medley relay, Holy Cross finished first with the team of freshman Kaikea Wilinski, juniors Kevin Lagasse, Tierney and senior Jake Sbarbaro with a finals time of 3:36.33.
- Freshman Christopher Cerulli placed first in the 1000 free with a time of 10:34.98.
- Wilinski also placed first in the 100 back with a time of 55.68.
- Sophomore Christian Realbuto placed first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:05.61.
- Sbarbaro placed first in the 100 free (49.74).
- In the 200 back, freshman Nathan Kramer finished at the top of the pack with a finals time of 1:56.20.
