The Lead: Senior Jake Sbarbaro recorded a new personal best in the 100 breaststroke and junior Steven Tierney finished first in two events, but the Crusaders fell to the Gaels.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tierney finished first in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.74 and first in the 100 free with a time of 48.44.
- Sbarbaro placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.57, which is a new personal best for the senior. He also finished first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.69.
- On the boards, senior Jimmy Nugent placed first in the 3m diving with a final score of 212.10. Senior Riccardo Marcangeli placed second in the same event with a score of 207.08. Junior Nick Chevalier finished third with a score of 176.84. Marcangeli and Nugent also took first and second place in the 1m diving event with scores of 236.17 and 235.50, respectively.
- Freshman Nathan Kramer took second place in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:01.26 and first in the 200 IM in 2:00.57.
