The Lead: The Holy Cross women's tennis team defeated St. Anselm, 6-3. The Crusaders have won five of their last six matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Crusaders took a 2-1 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches. The No. 2 doubles team of junior Izzy Bagi (Branford, Conn.) and freshman Morgan McGuire (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) won their match by an 8-2 score.
• Freshmen Jennifer Kary (Scarsdale, N.Y.) and Caroline Kam (Stonington, Conn.) won at No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
• The Crusaders then won four of the six singles matches to earn the 6-3 victory.
• Bagi won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2, while Kam won the No. 4 singles match, 6-3, 6-2.
• Kary won at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
• McGuire won No. 6 singles, 8-1.
