HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Crusaders took a 3-0 lead by winning the three doubles matches. Seniors Jaclyn Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Abby Henry (Wellesley, Mass.) won at No. 1 doubles, 8-0.
- The No. 2 doubles team of freshman Allison Reiling (Medham, N.J.) and sophomore Katie Elia (Erie, Pa.) won their match by an 8-4 score.
- The Crusaders then won five of the six singles matches to earn the 8-1 victory.
- Reiling won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0, while senior Cassy Deng (Eden Prairie, Minn.) won the No. 2 singles match, 6-2, 6-0.
- Elia won at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and freshman Caroline Kam (Stonington, Conn.) won the No. 5 singles match by a 6-1, 6-2 score.
