The Lead: Senior Bobby Indeglia (North Kingston, R.I.) hit a solo home run in the 13th inning to lead Holy Cross to a 5-4 victory over Lehigh in game one of the day on Monday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Holy Cross jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. After senior Nick Lovullo (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) doubled to right center in the first at-bat of the game and advanced to third on an error, junior Anthony Critelli (Holmdel, N.J.) drove in the run with an RBI single to left field.
- Lehigh tied the game up in the second inning by scoring off an error, and added another run in the third inning with a sacrifice fly to make it 2-1 in its favor.
- The Crusaders regained the lead in the fifth inning after adding three runs to make it 4-2. Sophomore Cam O'Neill (Lynn, Mass.) hit an RBI double to center field that brought home senior Bobby Indeglia (North Kingston, R.I.) from third base, and junior Bill Schlich (Massapequa, N.Y.) scored Critelli and and O'Neill.
- Lehigh added a run in the bottom of the fifth, and was able to tie the game up with another in the bottom of the seventh, making it 4-4.
- In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mountain Hawks loaded the bases with two outs, but sophomore Thomas Russo (Weston, Mass.) recovered a ground ball at third base for a force out to keep the game going.
- Indeglia broke the tie with a solo-shot home run to left-center in the top of the 13th inning to give Holy Cross the 5-4 lead.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Both teams registered 13 hits in the game.
- Lehigh left 15 runners on base, while Holy Cross left 12.
- Junior George Capen (Gainesville, Va.) earned the win after pitching four scoreless innings in relief, allowing just three hits and dealing four strikeouts.
- Ethan Frohman took the loss after allowing one run on four hits through five innings pitched in relief.
- Indeglia led the Crusaders' offense with a 4-for-6 performance at the plate and scored two runs, including the game-winner with a home run in the 13th.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Indeglia's home run was his third of the season, and the fourth of his career.
- This was Capen's fifth pitching victory of his career.
- This was the Crusaders' second-longest game of the season. Their longest game of the season was a 15 inning battle at South Florida on Mar. 11.

The Lead: Schlich led the Crusaders' offense, going 3-for-5 with five RBI as the Crusaders defeated Lehigh 12-3 to close their weekend series in Bethlehem, Pa.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lehigh took the early 1-0 lead in the first inning with a RBI single.
- Holy Cross took a 2-1 lead in the third inning, as Schlich scored Critelli and Indeglia with a double to left center to earn 2 RBI.
- In the fifth inning, the Crusaders notched three more runs to extend their lead, as Schlich hit a three-run home run that scored Critelli and O'Neill.
- After Lehigh scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, Russo brought home a run in the seventh with a successful sacrifice bunt to bring home Schlich.
- The Crusaders offense came alive in the eighth inning, as Holy Cross notched six runs on four hits. Critelli hit a three-run home run to left field, and junior Josh Hassell (Tulsa, Okla.) hit a three-run homer to left to give the Crusaders a 12-2 lead.
- The Mountain Hawks scored a run in the eighth, but were unable to overcome the deficit set by Holy Cross.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Holy Cross outhit Lehigh 11-9.
- The Crusaders left eight runners on base, while the Mountain Hawks left four.
- Freshman Pat McGowan (Wellesley, Mass.) earned the win after pitching 6.1 innings in relief and allowing two runs on five hits and dealing five strikeouts.
- Matt Kozemchak took the loss after allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits in five innings pitched.
- Schlich led the Crusaders' offense, going 3-for-5 at the plate with five RBI and scoring three runs.
- Critelli and Voitik led Holy Cross with six putouts each.

- McGowan's pitching win was the first of his career.
- Schlich's home run was his second of the season, and the fourth of his career.
- Critelli's home run was seventh of the season, and the 14th of his career.
