• The Lead: The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in eighth place out of eight teams at the 2015 Patriot League Championship at the Par-72 Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y. The Crusaders shot a combined team score of 965 strokes (+101), as Loyola Maryland claimed its second straight conference championship with a team total of 862 strokes (-2). HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Holy Cross was led by senior Connor Burfeind (Falmouth, Maine) who tied for 39th place with a three-round total of 240 (+24). Finishing one shot behind Burfeind were classmates Craig Norton (Foxboro, Mass.) and John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y.) who tied for 41st with scores of 241 (+25).
• Crusader sophomore Connor McGuirk (Lexington, Mass.) fired a three-round card of 256 (+40), which placed him 46th in the tournament. Freshman Joe Blando, Jr. (Manhasset, N.Y.) came in 47th place with a total score of 260 (+44).
