• The Lead: The Holy Cross men's varsity eight defeated No. 19 Georgetown in EARC action on Lake Carnegie on Saturday afternoon to win the Healy Cup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The varsity eight defeated No. 19 Georgetown with a time of 6:00.6, while the Hoyas posted a time of 6:04.7. The Healy Cup was named in honor of Father Patrick Healy who graduated from Holy Cross (Class of 1850) and then went on to become the President of Georgetown. The cup was donated by the HC and Georgetown classes of 2010 and is given to the winner of the varsity eight race between the two schools. This is the second straight year the Crusaders' varsity eight have defeated Georgetown to win the Healy Cup.
• Georgetown won the second varsity race with a time of 6:08.4 as the Crusaders tallied a time of 6:12.5.
• The Crusaders' third varsity eight placed first in its race with a time of 6:35.3, while Georgetown's third varsity eight (6:39.1) was second and the Crusaders' fourth varsity eight (6:52.6) was third.

• Holy Cross Second Varsity Eight: Christian Brooks (Coxswain), James Holland, Tiarnan Doherty, Luke Graham, Christian Kerrigan, Sean Horan, Keenan Moore, Alex Brandon, Jon Bachmann. 
• Holy Cross Third Varsity Eight: Cally Hickey (Coxswain), Casey Norton, Chris Paul, Joe Nolan, Zack Zaniewski, Brian Latu, Chris Mudrick, Will Callif, Kyle Larkin.
• Holy Cross Fourth Varsity Eight: Eddie Ryan (Coxswain), Brian Clark, William Weir, William McCue, John Kane, Greg Giangiordano, Nick Whalen, Ryan Cyr.
