Holy Cross Athletics

2013-2014: Part ofthe second varsity eight that defeated MIT (April 5), UC San Diego(April 12) and Bucknell (April 27)…raced with a secondvarsity eight that placed third in the third level final at EasternSprints (May 18), where it defeated Georgetown, MIT andRutgers…raced in the IRA championship with the secondvarsity eight...awarded IRA All-Academic honors for his strongachievements in academics and rowing.

2012-2013: Memberof the second varsity eight boat that won in the third level finalof the Eastern Sprints (May 19)… part of second varsityeight boat that won races against Marist (March 30), Georgetown(April 20) and Bucknell (April 28)… named to 2013 IRAAll-Academic team.

2011-2012:Competed in seven spring regattas, rowing five with the freshmaneight....the freshman eight won a race against Boston College(April 28).

Before Holy Cross: Attended Belmont HillSchool…editor of the high school magazine… member ofthe school newspaper…member of the Spanish club.

Personal: Son of Kevin and JeanMcNamara…father is a 1979 graduate of Holy Cross…hastwo sisters (Caroline and Julie)…sister, Caroline, playedwomen’s lacrosse at Bowdoin…grandfather, John F.McNamara, Jr. (Class of 1944), and uncle, John F. McNamara III(Class of 1973), graduated from Holy Cross...majoring in PoliticalScience and Spanish.
