- The Lead: All six Crusaders won their respective singles and doubles matches, as Holy Cross earned the 7-0 victory over New Haven in non-conference women's tennis action on Saturday afternoon at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Court.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior captain Taylor Stathis (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) picked up the 4-6, 6-4, (10-4) win in No. 1 singles, while junior Jaclyn Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass.) earned the No. 2 singles victory in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Stathis and Carroll also claimed the No. 1 singles win, 9-7.
- Junior Cassy Deng (Eden Prairie, Minn.) won her No. 3 singles match, 6-4, 6-2, while classmate and No. 4 singles player Abby Henry (Wellesley, Mass.) claimed the 6-1, 6-1 victory.
- Freshman Katie Elia (Erie, Pa.) won her No. 5 singles match, 6-2, 6-1, while sophomore Izzy Bagi (Branford, Conn.) did not lose a game point in the 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
UP NEXT:
- With the regular season completed, Holy Cross will now compete in the 2015 Patriot League Tournament from Thursday-Sunday, April 23-26, in Hamilton, N.Y.
