• The Lead: The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in 16th place out of 16 teams at the Brown Bear Invitational on Sunday and Monday, April 12-13 at the Par-71 Metacomet Country Club in East Providence, R.I. The Crusaders came in with a two-day combined score of 731 strokes (+153), as Yale won the event with a team score of 589 strokes (+21).  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Crusaders were led by freshman Maxine Harney (Medford, Mass.) who went 83-93 for a two-round sum of 176 (+32), which placed her in 79th. Junior Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) tied for 80th with a two-day total of 179 (+35).
• Rounding out the Crusaders were junior Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) and senior Meaghan Sullivan (Brockton, Mass.) who finished in 84th and 86th, respectively, with scores of 186 (+44) and 190 (+48).

• Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, when it travels to Annapolis, Md. to compete in the 2015 Patriot League Championship at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club.
