- The Lead: Sophomore Izzy Bagi (Branford, Conn.) was one of five Crusaders to win both of their respective singles and doubles matches, as Holy Cross earned the 6-1 win over St. Anselm's in non-conference women's tennis action on Sunday afternoon at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The victory was the third in a row for Holy Cross.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bagi earned the No. 6 singles victory over Emily Barrett in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, while she teamed with junior Cassy Deng (Eden Prairie, Minn.) in No. 3 doubles to secure the 8-1 win over Barrett and Katie Roberts. Deng defeated Kathryn Rindo in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
- Crusader sophomore No. 4 singles player Abby Henry (Wellesley, Mass.) topped Leah Fitzgerald in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1, while freshman Katie Elia (Erie, Pa.) also won in straight sets in No. 5 singles over Roberts, 6-0, 6-0. Henry and Elia won their No. 2 doubles match over Rindo and Fitzgerald, 8-0.
- Holy Cross junior Jaclyn Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass.) picked up the No. 2 singles victory over Meghan Golden, 6-1, 6-1.
