• The Lead: The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in fourth place out of four teams with a combined score of 706 (+130) at the ECAC Championship on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 29-30. Fairfield won the event with a team score of 640 (+64).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Holy Cross was led by freshman Maxine Harney (Medford, Mass.) who finished in 13th place with a two-round total of 169 (+25). Crusader junior captain Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) carded a two-day score of 172 (+28), good for 16th place.  
• Junior Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) finished in 19th place with a total score of 181 (+37), while senior captain Meaghan Sullivan (Brockton, Mass.) and junior Claire McMahon (Buffalo, N.Y.) finished in 20th and 21st place, respectively, with scores of 185 (+41) and 201 (+57).

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 5-6, as it will compete in the Merrimack Invitational at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass.
