• Holy Cross senior No. 1 singles player Taylor Stathis (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) was defeated by Ryan Brown of Bryant, 6-2, 6-0. Crusader junior Jaclyn Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass.) lost her No. 2 singles match to Marion Bouillin, 6-2, 6-1.
• Holy Cross junior Cassy Deng (Eden Prairie, Minn.) lost her No. 3 singles match, 6-1, 6-2, to Linnea Sjoberg, while classmate Abby Henry (Wellesley, Mass.) was defeated in No. 4 singles by Briana Leonard, 6-2, 6-4.
