Senior safety Chisom Onwuzurigbo has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition between Oct. 19-25.
Onwuzurigbo returned an interception for a 36-yard touchdown as the Crusaders defeated Bucknell, 34-3, during Holy Cross’ Homecoming game on Oct. 24.
The interception was his third as a Crusader, and the pick-six was the first of Onwuzurigbo’s career. It also marked the first defensive touchdown by Holy Cross this year.
Onwuzurigbo was a critical part of a spectacular defensive showing, as Holy Cross held Bucknell to just 246 total yards, the lowest amount by a Crusader opponent this year. The three points marked the fewest by a Holy Cross opponent since the 2024 campaign.
