Junior Bridget Sachs of the Holy Cross women’s track & field team won the pole vault at both meets over the weekend and has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition during the week of Jan. 12-18.

This marks the first career Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week selection for Sachs.

Sachs captured the pole vault at Saturday’s URI Invitational with a mark of 3.81m and followed that up by taking first place at Sunday’s Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational with a personal-best mark of 3.85m. The new personal-best is tied for the top mark in the Patriot League this season and fourth in the Northeast region.

The Crusaders return to action on Friday, Jan. 30 for the John Thomas Terrier Classic that will be hosted by Boston University.
