Junior guard Kendall Eddy of the Holy Cross women’s basketball team averaged 8.5 points, 5.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game in two victories on the week and has been named Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition during the week of Dec. 15-21.
This marks the first career Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week selection for Eddy.
The Haverhill, Mass., native tallied 14 points (4-of-5 3PT) to go along with a career-high eight assists and hit a pair of buzzer-beating threes at the end of the second and third quarters during Sunday’s victory over UMass Lowell. Eddy’s 14 points marked her second-highest total of the season and her eight assists surpassed her previous career-high of four that had been done on two occasions.
In Tuesday’s 46-45 win over defending America East champion Vermont, Eddy tallied three points, three assists, one steal and matched her career-high with seven rebounds.
On the week, the junior guard shot 54.5% (6-of-11) from the floor and 71.4% (5-of-7) from long range.
Eddy and the Crusaders will open Patriot League play at Bucknell on Dec. 31 with opening tip slated for 1 p.m.
