Senior goaltender Jada Brenon of the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition from Oct. 18 to 24.
Brenon tallied 58 saves in two games over the weekend against Vermont and No. 6 Northeastern.
In the game against Northeastern on Sunday, Oct. 24, Brenon broke the Holy Cross program record for career saves with a 41-save performance, bringing her career total to 2,417 – surpassing the nearly two-decade-old record of 2,393 saves, set by Jennelle DiSanto from 1999 to 2003.
This season, Brenon has totaled 217 saves over seven appearances, with a .900 save percentage and a 3.82 goals-against average.
Brenon and the Crusaders return to action on Friday, Oct. 29 with a home contest against Maine. Puck drop at the Hart Center Rink at the Luth Athletic Complex is set for 7 p.m.
