WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore forward
Archie Hatcher scored his team-leading third goal of the season, as the Holy Cross men's soccer team tied Navy 1-1 at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium. The Crusaders move to 0-3-4 overall and 0-0-1 in the Patriot Leaguer, while the Midshipmen now stand 1-2-4 on the season and 0-0-1 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After a scoreless first half, Navy got on the board in the 57th minute with a penalty kick by Duncan Sullivan.
• Holy Cross responded in the 71st minute, with Hatcher scoring from 22 yards out.
• Sophomore forward
Jack Fiedler appeared to have given the Crusaders the lead in the 79th minute, but the goal was disallowed on video review.
• Neither team was able to score again, and the game ended in a draw.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• The Crusaders finished the day with an 18-13 advantage in shots, while both teams attempted five corner kicks.
• Freshman goalkeeper
Caleb Klepacz made a career-high six saves.
• Sophomore defender
Peter Borges picked up his first career assist on Hatcher's goal, while senior defender
Kyle Martell recorded his fourth career assist on the play.
• Hatcher now has 21 points on nine goals and three assists in 23 career games played.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 19, when it travels to Lafayette for a 1 p.m. game.
