EASTON, Pa. – Sophomore forward
Archie Hatcher scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season, as the Holy Cross men's soccer team tied Lafayette 1-1 at the Gummeson Grounds. The Crusaders move to 0-3-5 overall and 0-0-2 in the Patriot League, while the Leopards now stand 1-5-2 on the season and 0-1-1 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After a scoreless first half, Lafayette took a 1-0 lead in the 76th minute on a goal by Joseph Lee.
• Hatcher tied the score at 1-1 on a penalty kick in the 77th minute, after sophomore midfielder
Gabe Raphael was fouled in the box.
• The Leopards were awarded a penalty kick in the 79th minute, but freshman goalkeeper
Caleb Klepacz made a huge save to keep the game tied.
• Neither team was able to score again, and the game ended in a draw.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Lafayette finished the day with a narrow 11-10 advantage in shots and a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
• Klepacz totaled five saves, the second-highest single-game total of his career.
• Hatcher now has 23 points on 10 goals and three assists in 24 career games played.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 23, when it plays host to Stonehill at 6 p.m.
