Women's soccer falls to Dartmouth on Thursday

HANOVER, N.H.- A 75th minute score by Dartmouth would prove to be the turning point on Thursday evening as the Holy Cross women's soccer team fell to the Big Green 1-0 on Sept. 10 at Burnham Field. The Crusaders fall to 4-2-1 while Dartmouth improves to 4-1-2. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Holy Cross led 6-3 in shots through a scoreless first half.
  • Dartmouth's Natasha Udebhulu capitalized on a low goal-kick attempt by junior goalkeeper Antriana Mila, scoring on an uncontested run to the net to give the Big Green a 1-0 lead in the 75th minute.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 
  • Thursday's loss snapped the Crusaders' four-game winning streak and ended a scoreless streak of more than 350 minutes.
  • Holy Cross falls to 7-10-0 all-time against Dartmouth, dropping its last five matches.
  • Dartmouth ended with an 11-10 edge in shots and a 5-1 advantage in shots on goal.
  • Holy Cross led 3-2 in corners and 4-1 on saves.
IN GOAL:
  • Holy Cross: Antriana Mila (L, 4-2-1), four saves
  • Dartmouth: Ola Goebel (W, 4-1-2), one save
UP NEXT:
  • Holy Cross will return to Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 13, hosting Maine at 2:00 p.m. The contest will mark Senior Day for the Crusaders, with the program's senior class set to be recognized in a ceremony before the game.
