Women’s soccer returns all five captains for 2026 season

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team has announced that all five captains from a season ago will return for the 2026 campaign. The group includes seniors Mary Sommer, Karenna Beckstein, Katie Boudreau, and Adi Botet as well as junior Caroline Bierfeldt.

"Last year, our captains did a fantastic job of leading this group to its first ever home play-off game in program history," said head women's soccer coach Ben Graham. "I am excited to see the steps they take this year to push the program on to even greater heights. They lead by their deeds and their words and are wonderful examples to our younger players of what our culture is all about."

The captains have tallied numerous accolades throughout their time on The Hill, including 11 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections, one second team All-Patriot League selection, one Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, one Patriot League Rookie of the Week, one Academic All-Patriot League selection, two CSC Academic All-District picks  and one Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week recognition.
