#13 women's ice hockey set to take on Boston College & New Hampshire

The 13th-ranked Holy Cross women's ice hockey team will be back in action this weekend with a pair of home games. The Crusaders will face Boston College on Friday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m., in a game that will be shown live on NESN and ESPN+. Holy Cross will then take on New Hampshire on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. Both contests will be part of Winter Homecoming Weekend, while Saturday's game will be Senior Night.

Holy Cross owns an overall record of 18-8-2 with a 10-7-2 mark in Hockey East play. The Crusaders have set a school single-season record with their 10 Hockey East victories and have been nationally ranked in the USCHO poll for three straight weeks. Freshman forward Violet Carroll currently leads the team in scoring with 22 points on eight goals and 14 assists. Senior forward Alexia Moreau has added 10 goals and seven assists for 17 points, while senior forward Lane Lewis has 16 points on five goals and 11 assists. In net, senior goaltender Abby Hornung stands 11-6-1 this season with a 1.46 goals against average and a .944 save percentage. 

Boston College stands 12-15-1 overall and 10-7-1 in Hockey East. Freshman forward Ava Thomas has a team-high 39 points on 16 goals and 23 assists, with junior forward Sammy Taber adding seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points. In net, senior Grace Campbell boasts a .924 save percentage and a 2.78 goals against average.

New Hampshire enters the weekend with an overall record of 13-12-3 and a 7-9-2 mark in Hockey East games. Freshman forward Nina Rossi leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points, while junior forward Danika Botterill has added 22 points on nine goals and 13 assists. Junior goaltender Sedona Blair stands 7-8-3 with a 2.05 goals against average and a .934 save percentage.

After the games with Boston College and New Hampshire, Holy Cross will travel to Merrimack (Feb. 13) and Providence (Feb. 14) next week.
