WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to No. 8 Army, 13-5, Saturday afternoon at Blaik Field at Michie Stadium.

With the win, Army improves to 6-0 (1-0 PL) on the season, while Holy Cross moves to 3-3 (0-1 PL).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Senior Damien Ramondo opened the scoring 48 seconds in, before Army netted three in two minutes to take the 3-1 lead after the first quarter of play.
• Sophomore Andrew Ottomanelli opened the second quarter with his seventh goal of the season. Army answered back with another goal, before senior Will Messineo found the back of the net to cut the Army lead to 4-3.
• Army would go on an 8-0 run over the remainder of the second quarter through the third quarter to extend their lead to 12-3 going into the final 15 minutes of regulation.
• Ottomanelli picked up his second of the game halfway through the fourth quarter, before Army responded with a goal of their own two minutes later.
• Ramondo rounded out the scoring with his second of the game with just over two minutes remaining.

BEYOND THE BOX:

• Senior JR Long recorded a season-high 20 saves in the contest, marking his fourth game this season with double digit stops.
• Freshman Shane McDonnell was once again dominate at the faceoff 'X', going 13-for-16 (.813) on the afternoon.

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross will return home to face Colgate on Saturday, March 7 for Senior Day.
• Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. at Kuzniewski Field.
