WORCESTER, Mass. — Holy Cross men's ice hockey junior
Owen Kim has been named the Atlantic Hockey America Forward of the Month for October, the league offices announced Tuesday afternoon.
Kim found himself on the box score in all but two games, finishing the month with 12 points on six goals and six assists. Kim recorded four multi-point games - two of which came against Maine and Arizona State.
Kim's six goals and 12 points this season lead Atlantic Hockey, while his six assists sit in a tie for third and his three power play goals also lead the league. His +6 rating this season trails only one skater in the Atlantic Hockey rankings. His eight game point streak from Oct. 3 to Oct. 30 was the second-longest active streak in the nation, trailing only one skater that carried theirs over from last season. This is Kim's first Atlantic Hockey monthly award.
The Crusaders (4-6-0, 2-4-0 AHA) will travel to North Andover, Mass. on Friday, Nov. 6 to face no. 16 Merrimack at Lawler Arena at 7 p.m. before returning home to the Hart Center Rink on Saturday, Nov. 7 to face Northeastern at 7 p.m. for Country Music Night, presented by Pepsi.
