BOSTON, Mass. – Junior
Lulu Rourke and freshman
Naemi Herzig both tallied one goal and one assist, to lead the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team to a 4-2 victory over Boston University at Walter Brown Arena. The Crusaders improve to 16-7-1 on the season and 8-6-1 in Hockey East, while the Terriers fall to 7-12-3 overall and 5-7-2 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Holy Cross opened the scoring just 37 seconds into the game on a goal by Rourke.
• Boston University responded less than two minutes later, with Neely Nicholson tying up the game at 1-1.
• Later in the first period, freshman
Violet Carroll knocked in a pass from junior
Emily Crovo, putting the Crusaders back in front.
• Senior
Alexia Moreau added a goal midway through the second period, making the score 3-1.
• Herzig then netted an empty net goal in the third period, before Luisa Welcke concluded the scoring for the Terriers.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Moreau now has 60 points on 33 goals and 27 assists in her career, and broke the school record for most career points by a Crusader in the Hockey East era.
• Senior
Brooke Loranger made 26 saves on the day.
• The Terriers finished the game with a 28-25 advantage in shots on goal.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Friday, Jan. 23, when it plays host to Providence at 6 p.m.
