The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team hits the road this weekend for a game at Boston University on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 4 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Terriers will be shown live on ESPN+.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 15-7-1 with a 7-6-1 mark in Hockey East play. The Crusaders' 15 total victories this season are their most in eight years, while their seven Hockey East wins are the most in program history. Freshman forward
Violet Carroll currently leads the team in scoring with 20 points on seven goals and 13 assists. Freshman forward
Naemi Herzig has added six goals and 12 assists for 18 points, while senior forward
Alexia Moreau has 15 points on eight goals and seven assists. In net, senior goaltender
Abby Hornung stands 10-5-1 this season with a 1.51 goals against average and a .940 save percentage.
Boston University enters the week with an overall record of 7-11-3 and a 5-6-2 mark in Hockey East. The Terriers have won three straight games, including a 2-1 overtime victory over Northeastern on Tuesday. Senior forward Sydney Healey leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points, while senior forward Clara Yuhn has 13 points on six goals and seven assists. Junior goaltender Mari Pietersen owns a 4-5-3 record with a 2.14 goals against average and a .932 save percentage.
After the game with Boston University, Holy Cross will play a home-and-home series with Providence on Jan. 23 and 24.
