WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross volleyball team got a career-high nine kills from freshman middle blocker
Isa Glover during a 3-0 sweep of non-conference opponent Le Moyne Tuesday evening in Blaney Gymnasium.
The win snaps a five match losing streak for the Crusaders as they move to 5-12 on the season while the Dolphins slide to 1-11.
Glover had her best performance of the season tallying the nine kills on .438 hitting with career-bests in digs (3) and aces (2). Sophomore middle blocker
Lacey Murphy added six kills hitting .313 with a team-best four total blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Glover was a factor early making an impact in the middle posting a trio of kills on three attempts giving the Crusaders a 15-10 edge at the media timeout. Le Moyne dropped the deficit to two, 15-13, but the Crusaders reestablished the five point lead 19-14 following a junior outside hitter Taliah Lee kill from the back row. Lee clinched the set with an ace for the 25-18 win.
- Back-to-back Dolphin aces gave them the 16-15 advantage, part of four straight points in the second set. Down one, Holy Cross strung together five straight, with Glover posting an ace during the binge to regain the 21-18 lead. The Dolphins ended up leveling the set 23 all before Holy Cross used two blocks from freshman right side Madelyn Blakey and Glover and Glover and Lee with Glover earning a kill to win the set 28-26.
- Blakey put home a tip on the right side for the 12-9 margin in the third set. Down four, Le Moyne scrapped back in the set using a 6-1 run for the 16-15 edge. Behind by two, junior outside hitter Lily Eigner started off a 4-0 spurt with a kill for the 23-21 lead. Lee capped off the victory for the Crusaders.
INSIDE THE BOX:
- Senior setter Katie Russell had a game-high 21 assists in the match.
- Sophomore setter Tuana Ozarpaci posted her third double-double of the season with 17 assists and 11 digs.
- Eigner set a career-high with 14 digs while freshman defensive specialist Savannah Baron had a personal-high with 13 digs. It was Baron's third straight game with double-digit digs.
- Lee also had a double-double with a team-best 10 kills and a career-high matching 11 digs.
