WORCESTER, Mass. – Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics have announced the first-ever Allstate NACDA Good Works Team for fall sports, recognizing 20 student-athletes for their dedication to leadership, service and community impact. Among the 20 individuals selected was senior defender
Julian Beban of the Holy Cross men's soccer team.
Beban represented Holy Cross at the 2025 Uplifting Athletes Leadership Development Conference, and has been a volunteer with Life for Life, Team Impact, the Office of Sustainability Community Clean-Up and the Civic Engagement Day Campus Clean-Up. On the soccer field, he earned third team All-Patriot League honors in 2024, when he led the team with 1,549 minutes played and ranked fourth on the squad in scoring with five points on one goal and three assists. Over the course or his collegiate career, Beban has now seen 3,507 minutes of action in 48 games played. In addition, he has earned Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, while being named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll three times.
The Good Works Team includes men and women from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, junior / community college and the NAIA – representing seven collegiate sports, including soccer, volleyball, cross country, field hockey and water polo. Honorees were selected for supporting causes like pediatric cancer care, disability inclusion, food and housing insecurity and education access.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was established in 2024 to recognize male and female student-athletes across all collegiate sports and divisions for their leadership in community service, academics and athletics. Building on the legacy of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which has honored college football players since 1992, this expanded initiative highlights the impact of student-athletes who go beyond the game to serve others.
