The Holy Cross men's rowing team will travel to Henley-on-Thames, England to compete in the historic Henley Royal Regatta this July. 

The races, which run from July 1-6, attract thousands of visitors over the week, and spectators are thrilled by over 400 races of an international standard, which can include Olympic rowers, as well as crews new to the event. 

"The Henley Royal Regatta is right up there with the Olympics in terms of prestige in the sport of rowing," said Holy Cross head coach Jim Barr. "We are absolutely thrilled to get the chance to train and compete on this historic stretch of water. Getting the team to return to Henley has been a dream of mine since the fall of 2021. This year's success paired with the generosity of our alumni group has made this dream of competing at Henley a reality."

Holy Cross will be entering its Varsity Eight into the Temple Challenge Cup and the Varsity Four into the Prince Albert Challenge Cup. This is the program's first trip to Henley since 2002.

"The Henley Royal Regatta is a dream come true for Holy Cross rowing, attending for the first time in over two decades, and a phenomenal opportunity to compete internationally and at the highest level of the sport. We are immensely grateful to our alumni and supporters whose generosity made this trip possible, and anticipate the bonds of our team and community will only strengthen during this journey."
