Milestones reached as baseball steamrolls Lehigh Saturday on Senior Day

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross baseball team achieved three program milestones Saturday as they rolled to a 24-7 seven inning win against Patriot League opponent Lehigh Saturday on Senior Day at Fitton Field.

The win was the fifth straight for the 2025 Regular Season Champion Crusaders (26-21, 16-7 PL) and their 13th over their last 17 games. Lehigh falls to 22-23, 10-13 PL with the loss. The 16th Patriot League win passed the previous program high of 15 set during the 2013 and 2019 seasons. Head coach Ed Kahovec also won his 100th career game at Holy Cross.

Junior right fielder CJ Egrie became the program's single-season run leader when he crossed the plate in the second inning. He passed Matt Perry's previous mark of 54 set in 2010. Egrie has set the program's single-season steal and run mark during his junior campaign.

Sophomore John LaFleur belted a grand slam in the win going 2-for-5 with a career-high seven RBI. Seniors Sean Scanlon and Jimmy King posted three hit efforts each while classmate Connor Peek was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI. As a team, Holy Cross has averaged 18 runs over the last three games and has outscored their opponents 55-to-10.
