Matt Maggiacomo all had wins in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross men's tennis team posted a 7-0 victory over Bentley at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders improve to 7-7 on the season with the win, while the Falcons fall to 0-7 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Holy Cross began the day by taking the doubles point with wins in all three matches.
• At No. 1, Clark and freshman
Will Donnelly downed Sandro Bertolina and Rafael Cueto 6-2.
• Carlson and junior
Patrick Ling posted a 6-3 win over Jacob Hartman and Jairaj Sehwani at No. 2.
• Maggiacomo and senior
Diego Tran Rosado added a 6-2 victory over Ben Liptak and Reilly O'Brien at No. 3.
SINGLES PLAY:
• The Crusaders continued their strong play in singles action, winning all six matches.
• Freshman
Ezequiel De la Plaza led the way with a 7-5, 6-7 (9-11), (10-4) victory over Cueto at the No. 1 spot.
• Carlson downed Bertolina 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 at No. 2, while junior
Camilo Illanes defeated Sehwani 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, (11-9) at No. 3.
• Junior
Alessandro Bizzarri added a 6-3, 6-2 win over Hartman at No. 4, Maggiacomo downed Liam Marr 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 at No. 5, and Clark defeated O'Brien 6-4, 6-4 at No. 6.
SENIOR DAY:
• Prior to the match, the senior members of the program who will be concluding their collegiate careers at the end of the 2024-2025 season were honored in a special ceremony.
• Clark, Maggiacomo and Tran Rosado were all recognized.
