WORCESTER, Mass. – Juniors Teddy Callery and Matt Carlson of the Holy Cross men's tennis team have been selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

In order to qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team eligible nominees must have a 3.50 GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition such as ITAs and non-team scored events do not count). 

Callery, a political science major posted a 3.51 GPA. He recorded a 14-12 record in singles action this season playing mainly at No. 3 and was 5-1 at the No. 2 slot. During doubles play, Callery was 19-7 which set the program record for single-season doubles wins. He went 6-1 in doubles action with Carlson.  

Carlson, the first Academic All-Patriot League selection since 2013, had a 3.97 GPA as a chemistry major. He recorded an undefeated regular-season in league singles action going an unblemished 4-0. Overall, Carlson was 8-8 in singles play and ranked second on the team singles wins during the spring slate. In doubles action, Carlson went 9-8 in the spring.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Holy Cross finished the season 8-13 overall and 1-4 in league matches. It was their second straight year of eight victories which is their most overall team wins in 22 years.
