WORCESTER, Mass. — Senior
Matt Maggiacomo posted wins in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross men's tennis team downed Clark 5-2 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders improve to 6-7 on the season with the victory, while the Cougars fall to 4-9 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Holy Cross began the day by taking the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
• At No. 2, sophomore
Matt Carlson and junior
Patrick Ling downed Tanner Honnef and Ryan Hovey 6-2.
• Maggiacomo and senior
Diego Tran Rosado added a 6-1 victory over Graham Russo and Ziad Tabbara at No. 3.
SINGLES PLAY:
• Holy Cross wrapped up the overall victory with four more wins in singles action.
• Sophomore
Teddy Callery led the way by defeating Edward Shepherd-Johnson 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot.
• Junior
Camilo Illanes posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Aris Kirkorian at No. 2.
• Maggiacomo recorded a 6-3, 6-3 win over Russo at No. 4.
• Sophomore
John Hayes downed Honnef 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6.
